Editorial synopsis

This paper investigates humanities education for adolescents in a digital environment shaped by algorithmic bias and automated interfaces. Using a survey of media use, reading habits, and digital literacy, Lee considers how reading-based education can support critical thinking, contextual understanding, ethical judgment, and empathy. Proposed practices include linking lessons with digital content, project-based learning, and strengthening teacher and community capacity. Further research is proposed to develop evaluation measures and assess educational outcomes.
